This year, for spring break, my husband, son, and I took a five day Caribbean cruise. Our first port was in Progreso, Mexico where we journeyed into the Yucatán to explore the Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá and a nearby cenote.
From all the photos I took over the week, the one below is my favorite. However, it's one of those deceptive social media photos, in that it looks as though I lifted my camera and snapped a great photo in one go, but ohhhhh how that is not what happened. Honestly, I could probably make a three minute YouTube video about the making of this photo because the GoPro recorded most of the drama involved. Long story short, get comfortable using your new GoPro WELL before taking it on vacation! I spent a lot of the day cupping the camera in my hands and yelling, "GoPro, turn off!" and "GoPro, stop recording!" and really nailing that stereotypical tourist vibe. lol
