It has been almost a year since I've done any updates to this website or my Etsy shop or my social media, yet I am keeping it all in tact, and still paying for my website and domain.
Because it is only a brief pause in something that I love so I can work toward some life advancements. I did it, by the way. I've knocked on doors that have opened wide, and I've stepped right through.
I had lost my job in accounting during the pandemic. The accounting firm had lost so many clients that they could no longer afford to keep me on payroll. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, however, because I found my dream job working in a first-class federal pre-k program.
Turns out that working with four-year-olds is so much more fun than working in an office! I decided to also get my teaching certification so I can be a lead OSR teacher. So, I am also a student at the University of Alabama, working on my degree remotely from the comfort of my own laptop in my spare time.
Ah, spare time...something of which I have little of these days...which is weird, since I had more of it than I ever had in my entire adult life during the 2020 stay home order.
So, anyway, my art is kind of on pause for the time being, but I have every intention of picking right up where I left off just as soon as I graduate. All of the time I am pouring into writing papers right now I will be pouring into my art again soon!
About the photo in the thumbnail...
I accidentally snagged a neat selfie with my GoPro while I was out adventuring with my friend Katie over fall break.
I will be posting things sporadically, so don't write me off on social media or Etsy just yet. I do notice likes, comments, and views, and I really appreciate your continued love and support. I've been posting stories on Instagram again, and I have discovered how much fun it is to make little reels, so definitely come see me over there from time-to-time:
I have my account set to private, but please don't hesitate to send me a request. I'm pretty good (or so I believe!) at deciphering what is a real account and what is a bot account.
Carpe diem, my friend!
